Mayor Bowser Awards $3.19 Million to Support Organizations Providing High-Impact Tutoring to District Youth

(Washington, DC) Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser and Deputy Mayor for Education Paul Kihn announced that eight nonprofit youth-serving organizations will receive over $3.19 million from the Office of Out of School Time Grants and Youth Outcomes (OST Office) to support high-impact tutoring programming serving approximately 1,600 pre-K – 12th grade students. Grant funds are provided by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education through the American Rescue Plan.
