Readout of Mayor Bowser’s Meeting with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

(Washington, DC) – Today, Mayor Bowser met with senior officials from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to be briefed on their monitoring visit and report of the District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA). HUD stressed that the agency is not in substantial default and has been in communication with DCHA regarding pathways to address the significant concerns outlined in the report.
