Mayor Bowser Launches Survey to Gather Community Input on Priorities for the Next Chief of Police, Invites Residents to Participate in Teletownhall

(Washington, DC) – Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser is launching a community input survey and will soon host a teletownhall to gather perspectives from residents on their priorities for the next police chief. This week, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Chief Robert J. Contee III retired, and the District is continuing the nationwide search for the new chief of police.
