Mayor Bowser to Host Lifeguard Appreciation Event

(Washington, DC) – On Wednesday, August 16 at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser and DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will host a lifeguard appreciation event to thank and honor District lifeguards for their work this summer. The Mayor will also celebrate the District’s Hands on Hearts Program and highlight a new Junior Lifeguard Academy for District students.
