Mayor Bowser to Kick Off Second Round of the Access to Quality Child Care Grant Program

(Washington, DC) – On Thursday, February 3, at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will kick off the second round of the District’s Access to Quality Child Care Grant, a $10 million program that will improve the supply and quality of child care services in DC.

Mayor Bowser will announce the recipient of the community-based organization selected to manage the grant at KU Kids @ Deanwood, a Ward 7 child development facility, co-located in the Deanwood Recreation Center, that received funding in the first round of the Access to Quality Grant, which provided funds to 47 child development programs. By the end of the grant period, Access to Quality supported creation of 1,244 infant and toddler slots in the District.
