Mayor Bowser to Break Ground on New Hospital on the St. Elizabeths East Campus in Ward 8

(Washington, DC) – On Thursday, February 17, at 12 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser will the celebrate the groundbreaking and naming of the new hospital at the St. Elizabeths East Campus in Ward 8, the first hospital built in Washington, DC in over 20 years.
 
The $375 million project includes a state-of-the-art 136-bed, full-service hospital, ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics and community space, and a helipad for emergency transports that will open in December 2024.
